What do you and your favorite philodendron have in common? It may be more than you realize.
Whether you have a green thumb or not, you probably understand some basic plant facts. One of these is that while houseplants can survive for many years in the same pot, they will only have limited growth. Plants become root-bound in the same container over time. In other words, their roots become tangled and matted because there is not enough room for them to spread out.
To help plants grow, you simply need to repot them. Of course, you want to use nutrient-rich soil to provide the proper nourishment. You also want to repot your plant in a container just one size larger than the existing container. This allows the plant to better adjust so that it can flourish.
In this respect, people are similar to plants. Without being periodically repotted, our growth is limited. Sure, we can survive without stretching our roots or feeding ourselves, but we’ll have a hard time thriving. We also do better by incrementally increasing our boundaries and limits so that we can adjust with less shock to our systems.
So how can you repot yourself? How can you change and improve what you’re feeding your body, mind and soul? Are you ready to stretch yourself? Determine what you should do to get repotted.
